In early February, we held an event for the launch of our new anthology, Avenues 23/24. The text was produced by a small team of graduates from the Creative Writing MA course, with funding from the University of Southampton and a GoFundMe organised by the editorial team. I served as the Editor in Chief for the project, editing, proofreading, producing, publishing, organising the launch event, and liaising with printing companies.
The project was a resounding success. At the launch event we had writers from all manner of backgrounds reading their work and showcasing their talents. Since the event, we have sold out of our copies and aim to put the funds towards more publications, showcasing more emergent talent in the world of literature.The anthology was published under my personal publishing house, Cheighes Publishing.
